FCC unveils agenda for open meeting in May

WASHINGTON, DC– Federal Communications Commission Chairman Jessica Rosenworcel announced a tentative agenda for the May Open Commission Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2024, which will include a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPR) intended to strengthen national security by to crack down on engineering labs that certify RF equipment with ties to countries like China and Russia.

Beyond this NPR, the FCC will assume some unspecified enforcement actions and a limited judicial matter from the Media Bureau.
