Guyanese athletes will watch Olympic qualifying at the World Relays this weekend

The Guyanese contingent currently in the Bahamas for the World Relays will be seeking Olympic qualification as a relay team in the Mixed 4x400M and Men’s 4x400M events respectively.

While the original squad consisted of Daniel Williams, Aliyah Abrams, Arinze Chance, Kenisha Phillips, Malachi Austin and Tianna Springer, Simeon Adams, Patrick Abel and Nairissa McPherson have been added to the team following Phillips’ absence. While the Guyanese were only due to appear at the Nassau circuit for the mixed 4x400m relay, fortune is smiling on the country as Guyana will now compete in the men’s 4x400m relay after another country withdrew from that event.
