An early morning fire on Codrington Main Road, St Michael, damaged four houses – some extensively and others slightly – on Friday, but no one was physically injured.
Station Officer at the Barbados Police Service, Fire Brigade Damien Bayne, said two houses were heavily damaged and two others were slightly damaged in the fire. One of them was uninhabited and the other three were occupied, but only one person was displaced, he reported.
Bayne said firefighters were alerted to the fire just after 3.30am and 10 firefighters and two tenders from Bridgetown Port Fire Station and Bridgetown Fire Station responded immediately.
