Dominica: In a major development, the Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica – Curio – A Collection by Hilton is under development in Grand Savanne, Salisbury. The resort will add 101 rooms to Dominica’s hotel stock, along with a combination of suites, villas, penthouses and treehouses with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea.

The luxury resort will have additional amenities including a spa, wellness center and gym, gourmet restaurant, swimming pool, gift shop, tennis court and private cabanas.

On Wednesday, May 1, Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit visited the Cabinet to observe the overall progress of the construction of the authorized Citizenship by Investment Project.

During the visit, the Prime Minister said the property will open its doors to visitors in 2025, adding that it will have a huge impact on Dominica’s economy.

“This is what we have tried to use the CBI funds for to create sustainable projects, finance sustainable projects and thereby create sustainable jobs. This hotel will create sustainable jobs, permanent jobs for many Dominicans, etc., at different levels and skills,” he outlined.

He also noted that upon completion, approximately 100 people will work permanently at the Tranquility Beach Resort to provide services to guests.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Tourism Minister Denise Charles on the site visit and she looks forward to the opening of this property. She said: “The 101-room property will be a unique yet outstanding addition to our world-class resorts here in Dominica.”

While speaking about the resort, Minister Charles said that people around the world, especially those with money, are looking for unique and authentic experiences and this resort will be perfect for them.

She emphasized: “I believe what this resort offers is that if you want to feel like you are in the jungle, you can have a treetop experience, if you want to feel like you are looking out over the sea and the beach and have a privacy and do you want butler service, you can book a villa or depending on your budget you can just book a room but still have access to these great facilities and not forgetting the Rooftop Bar, oh that’s an important feature with 360 degrees view you can stay on go up there and see Scott head so this resort has spectacular views all around.”

In addition, the Minister of Tourism praised the resort’s developer, Ian Edwards, saying she is proud that a Dominican could develop such an outstanding, six-star and beautiful resort.
