It’s a power meeting! Eco Ellie Goulding’s friendly chat with Ovo energy boss

What should eco-campaigner pop star Ellie Goulding and the billionaire founder of Britain’s fourth largest energy supplier discuss?

I ask because the singer and Ovo Energy boss Stephen Fitzpatrick were spotted chewing the fat outside the swanky Bodyism wellness center in Notting Hill, west London, last week.

Ellie, 37, was seemingly minding her own business when Stephen, 46, approached her. And at one point he even paid close attention to something on her phone.

Perhaps Ellie, a UN environmental ambassador and a strong advocate for green issues, shared some of her planet-saving advice with Stephen.

Perhaps Ellie, UN Environmental Ambassador and great advocate for green issues, shared some of her planet-saving advice with Stephen.

The businessman was criticized last year when he advised customers concerned about rising energy prices to cuddle their pets for warmth.

A renowned cat lover herself, Ellie once said that one of the most romantic things art dealer ex-husband Caspar Jopling had done for her was building “a cover for my litter box.”

She split from 32-year-old Caspar – with whom she shares two-year-old son Arthur – earlier this year after rumors of her close friendship with Tory peer Zac Goldsmith, a fellow eco-supporter.

Ellie is now believed to be dating surf instructor Armando Perez, who she met during a trip to Costa Rica in January.

Stephen founded Ovo with his wife Sophie, with whom he has three children.

He is also the founder of flying taxi company Vertical Aerospace and was recently forced to inject £39 million into the company to keep it afloat.

He also owns Kensington Roof Gardens, previously owned by his business idol Richard Branson.
